What is an implant?
An implant is a small, titanium screw that is surgically placed into your jawbone to replace the root portion of a lost tooth. The advantage is that it titanium naturally fuses with the jawbone and becomes a permanent part of your mouth. This process is known as osseointegration. Artificial teeth can then be attached to the implant.
