Tooth-colored fillings are made using a resin material that can be matched to the natural shade of your teeth. These fillings are free of metal and can be used to restore the natural function and shape of a tooth that is damaged or chipped.
To install a composite filling on your teeth, we will first administer local anesthesia to numb the site where the filling is needed. The decayed portion of the tooth is then removed using a dental drill, and the tooth is cleaned. A shade of composite resin is chosen to match your tooth color, and the filling is then carefully placed on the tooth. It is then shaped, buffed and polished to give the tooth a natural appearance.
